If only for "sir" Nitrous, (and noise) I am thinking of getting a new system for my z1000. I want it to be compliance stamped, guaranteed to make the good noise, and am looking for advice / ball park figures etc, for either a full system 4-1 or maybe some slip on cans.
thanks

Hi Claire. I'd just have to do my usual and suggest the big few although I haven't really come across anyone with reviews. Maybe your Kawasaki dealer might have a better idea. Here's a few to check anyway:

clairbear,
Have you read the review of the Z1000 in the latest AMCN ?
Some good advise on some sensible mods.

Tony.

Hey all, thanks for the info.
I am not sure that the IXIL ones would be compliant though, may look into it, as they look scmick!
I did see the cover of AMCN Sir Nitrous, but as yet have not picked up the rag, will part with $6.50 maybe tomorrow and take a closer look, thanks. I'm thinkin maybe slip ons for the time being, as the budget is well and truly blown! (no rude remarks re the 'blowing' statement please)
see y'all!

The "mods" were done to a Z1000 race bike, but some such as the rear suspension wouldn't go amiss on the street. Any info is worth knowing!
I ended up with just can's on the Ugly-Bus, No real peformance gains but Nice "Bling" Yoshi twin Tri-oval's, a lot less weight than standard, plus a pair of baffles for if ever it needs to be "tested".
Its less Whhhoossssh now and more Ggggrrrrooowl :)

Thats what i'm lookin for, the GROWWWWWWLLLLLLLLL! Staintunes are looking good, but unlike you, maybe less 'bling' I was hoping for carbon. will keep looking and post a new pic when it happens (ie next time you see a blue moon) (-$).
